In 2023, Manolya Gungor, a graduate of Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Applied Psychology, investigated the safety of women during nightlife in Eindhoven. She found that many women experience unwanted touches and approaches. Crowds, alcohol, and groups of friends influence the sense of safety.
This research provides interesting insights and has led to new measures to improve women’s safety.
