Just like the rest of the world, the city of Eindhoven is constantly evolving. Therefore, the Nacht Collectief Eindhoven feels the responsibility to adapt to these changes and create space for them within our objectives. To make this concrete, we have divided our objectives as follows:
Inclusion & Accessibility: We strive for a nightlife where everyone feels welcome and access to events and locations is possible for everyone, regardless of background, age, or physical limitations.
Safety: Our priority is to create a safe environment for all nighttime activities. This includes physical safety, but also a safe social environment where respect and responsibility are central.
Diversity & Multivocality: We are committed to a diverse and representative nightlife where various cultural and musical expressions have a place. This means room for diverse voices and perspectives.
Innovation & Policy: We encourage innovative ideas and solutions that contribute to a dynamic and sustainable nightlife. In addition, we work on policies that support these innovations and ensure that Eindhoven remains a leading city in this field.
Nacht Collectief Eindhoven (formerly Stichting Nachtburgemeester Eindhoven) was founded in 2020 by a group of engaged creatives and entrepreneurs from the local nightlife scene. The founders were primarily individuals active in the music industry, event organization, and the cultural nightlife of Eindhoven.
The collective emerged in response to the need for a better-organized and more diverse nightlife in Eindhoven, comparable to other cities in the Netherlands. The founders aimed to foster greater collaboration between the municipality, local entrepreneurs, and the cultural sector to create a vibrant and sustainable nightlife.
